Cry Me A River Tear Catching Bottle

$125.00

A tear-catching bottle was originally a small glass vial that  19th century women wore as a necklace and captured the tears they cried for their men gone away, maybe to work, maybe to battle. This comparatively giant ceramic version is a modern ironic interpretation. “Cry Me A River” it calls and it would take one to fill it.  Those 21st century tears may now be for lost love and even vengeance. Completely hand-formed and decorated, the back fleshes out the ruse. Please click on the photos to enjoy the twist.

  • 100% Ceramic
